21 MarchDay of Play
On March 21, 11:00-18:00, at Varshavsky Express mall EveryChild charity held the Day of Play, integrative family gala event for sponsored children and other St Petersburg families and children.
The Day of Play became a major event that had already become traditional. Its aim wasto give the children an opportunity to play and feel the childhood, as it is known that children become grown-ups early, in particular if they face disabilities and neglect or come from low-income, multi-children or discriminated families.
The event focused on child’s rights according to the UNCCR, especially on child’s rights to family living and protection.
The agenda included workshops facilitated by artists and musicians, musical and Upsala circus performances, child’s Eurovision, making musical instruments and making cardboard houses of dream.
At the end of the day children got their photos and a child-friendly version of the UNCRC.
